    What is ultimately funny about "The World According to Garp" is not the events themselves, but the imagination that is inventing them. And in that, the most basic of tests, this book succeeds extraordinarily. But I remember the cover. All of the characters are more types than they are people. Jenny was as asexual as Garp was sexual.
